Above 319 Restaurant & Bar in the CBD is great if you want something central with a city view and space for drinks and a dance floor. For something more chill near the beach, New Brighton Hotel in Manly is a top pick too. And if you're on a set budget, SkyeLounge in the Inner West has good views and per-person pricing, so you can control the spend better.
For weddings, Rydges Sydney Central gives you a big rooftop in a handy location, and you can do both the ceremony and reception there. The Branksome near the airport is super practical if you’ve got guests flying in and still want a rooftop feel. If you’re after something more upmarket with a waterfront look, Cockle Bay Yacht Club has the views and space to match.
The venue has magnificent views and the food and staff were wonderful. The only thing was that we did not have our welcome sign done by the event holder as promised and our guests had difficulty finding and accessing the venue. Mores signage from Bayview St and Pirrama Rd would be recommended.
Excellent all around service from Mel the functions manager and the staff at the venue. Mel was lovely to work with and had excellent customer service and was able to prepare an event tailored for us. Great value and facilities at Greenwood Hotel.
What. a. venue. Had the most incredible hens party here last Saturday. The balcony was such a fantastic spot - sheltered from the public so we could enjoy the privacy and be as loud as we wanted. The inside is beautifully decorated and makes it feel so homely yet modern. The venue itself is decked out with EVRYTHING you need - from cutlery to music to a projector to extra tables and and ice bucket etc. You have to pay a bit extra to use the plates / cutlery and we didn't do that - but in hindsight I would recommend you too instead of dealing / lugging with all your own stuff. Laura was the most accommodating and gracious host - helping myself and my dad carry all the stuff up the stairs the day before. She also let us come a day early as there wasn't anyone using the space the night before which helped out so much. 100% rate this venue such a little gem and perfect for any kind of party central in Sydney.
