Searching for a self-catering Sydney venue that will make the right fit? Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
Wondering how much it costs to hire a self-catering space in Sydney? We've listed the price ranges below:
The answer depends on the number of guests attending and how many courses are being served. To estimate the amount of food you need, first, determine the number of people who are attending and multiply that by how much food each guest is expected to eat. For example, if there were two appetisers and two entrees, then two people would probably each eat one of those items. If you are hosting a formal dinner party, then it is likely that you want to provide a three-course meal accompanied by wine or sparkling water. However, we recommend having at least 1.5 times the amount of expected guests at your event. This will ensure that you have enough food to go around, and also give you some wiggle room if numbers are higher than anticipated.
Every venue is different in what facilities offer and how flexible they are. Most of the self catering venues already have the necessary facilities, such as a kitchen. These venues also have refrigerators or ovens, so you can store and heat up your food until service time. If the venue doesn't have such facilities, you can use a portable burner, oven or stovetop to heat up the food. And if you have access to electricity in your venue, you can also use an electric warmer. We also strongly recommend getting chafing trays and ethanol gel fuel cans to keep them warm. This will make your buffet look nice and keep the food at the perfect temperature.
Luckily, many self catering venues do offer dishware and dining setups as part of their services. However, every venue is different in what they offer and how flexible they are. Most venues at least provide you with tables and chairs, but you should check each venue to specifically see which services and amenities they provide.
