The woman who looked after us was very efficient and helpful. The food was tasty and the venue ideal for our purpose.
I had asked to be contacted after the dinner to obtain a full copy of the bill and to ensure our next boking was confirmed. That has not occurred

The "Watch House" is a true little historical gem. If you want the ultimate private dining, interment experience. Such a beautiful setting, attentive staff, with a large selection of food options. We will certainly be back for more family dining. Big shout out to Cara for organising us. Thank you so very much.

About The Lord Alfred

The Lord Alfred Hotel, located on Caxton Street, is one of Brisbaneโ€™s grandest old pubs dating from the 1860โ€™s. It has been given a stunning makeover to bring out its rich history whilst becoming an on-trend destination. Formerly known as Hotel LA, The Lord Alfred Hotel has been meticulously restored to highlight its many original features across all of its three levels, creating a myriad of nooks, crannies, and charming spaces to enjoy a drink or bite to eat.

Not just a great place for a drink, the food at The Lord Alfred is worth sticking around for, with a menu including modern Australian cuisine and classic pub fare with small and medium dishes to share as well as banquet style feasts. The food, which has been designed to mix and match, can be enjoyed anywhere within the hotel; whether solo, couple, or part of a large group.

When it comes to functions, The Lord Alfred Hotel also has it covered, with eight unique spaces for hire, including a glass-encased brasserie, underground cellar, and large top level Verandah Bar looking over Caxton Street. Any event from 10 up to 200 guests can be catered for here, including but not limited to: birthdays, corporate events, private events, and boardroom meetings.

The Lord Alfred is the perfect venue hire in Caxton Street, offering state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, including streaming content and playlists, as well as theming suggestions, car parking, full catering services, and even a function facilitator. Our event package offers a large range of private function menus including sit down lunches and dinners, large banquets, cocktail packages, and bespoke dining affairs.
