About R L Foote Design Studio
R L Foote Design Studio is a Melbourne-Hong Kong based design studio focused on delivering unique and contemporary ceramic flatware, interior design objects and event-based designs. We meticulously create everything in our Melbourne studio workshop. Our flagship site based in Clifton Hill, Victoria, Australia, is a place where you can see all our products being made in the workshop and glaze laboratory, visit our showroom, retail space and gallery, and attend classes and events.
Working with chefs, restaurants and interior designers, our team designs and produces custom tableware and objects to clients' specifications. Our studio has a particular interest in the designed food and beverage experience, thinking not only about the physical elements of the space; the tableware, tables and seats, but also the ephemeral experience that runs alongside these objects. Imagining how the food and drink is served, eaten, played with, we conceptualize new food forms, textures, tastes, cultural influences and their effect on the dining experience.
