About this space
The Beer Hall at Cookie is the perfect open space for a cocktail-style event or seated event. We can host up to 90 guests along four large banquet tables or 100 guests for a standing event.
The beautiful space benefits from natural light beaming through the large glass doors behind the space and is located next to the famous Cookie kiss wall. You would have access to our three balconies that look over Swanston Street and be in front of our in-house DJ - the perfect spot for a dance!

Step through the stenciled brown-paper door and into a vast space complete with soaring ceilings and parquetry walls, adorned with the murals and artwork of local Melbourne artists: Beci Orpin, Misha Hollenbach, and Monika Ippoliti. Notice how the candied bottles fill the shelves and beautiful Juliette Balconies flood the room with light and allow for a phenomenal view of the Melbourne City Skyline. Pockets of nostalgia can be found in every corner as encyclopedias and childhood stories are scattered throughout the space.
A dynamic Thai kitchen brigade produces regional and family favorites that elevate the menu from the standard notions of a Green Curry, offering authentic Thai dishes like crispy fish and green papaya salad, or the signature pork belly red curry with green peppercorns and kaffir lime. Cookie epitomizes the Melbourne tradition of standing out and welcoming everyone: forever changing the meaning of Asian Fusion.
Paying tribute to European Beer Halls of the past, this large open space is home to up to 100 beers at a time. Supporting a mixture of local favorites and mainstream classics. Look at our selection of bottled beers and you’ll be greeted with a strong European influence. Have a look into the 30 beers on tap and find a few of those sneaky locals.
If beer is not your thing, our wine bar will not disappoint. With a menu that has over 70 pages showcasing varietals from more than 20 countries, you’ll find a diverse selection that’s sure to please.
Our cocktail bar can be located just behind the main bar and with a cocktail menu that’s a perfect blend of unique and classic; variety is key.
The flexible hue of Cookie allows for it to be molded to one’s needs. From the laidback charm, soaking in the rays of the afternoon sun to then tripping over the light fantastic as the DJs warm up the room and blend in with the aromatic spices that hang in the air.
