About this space
Our large, open-plan barn opens onto a spacious grass terrace and has stunning hinterland views, a full commercial kitchen, and an award-winning restaurant with staff, furniture, and serving ware for 120 people. We are able to customize a range of experiences to suit the needs of different types of groups - from long lunches, cocktail events, and corporate presentations to tree plantings, farm tours, workshops, and more!
We offer various food and drink packages, with the quality of our in-house catering being recognized with a 2023 SMH Good Food Guide Hat Award and Australian Wine List of The Year Goblet Award. Wi-fi and three-phase power with a backup generator plus 30 car parks and a private bus turning circle are available.
The barn is 27m by 10m with a 20m by 10m open, flexible space (the remaining 7m by 10m are for the commercial kitchen & bathrooms). It has a large, vaulted ceiling with exposed wooded beams; a substantial recycled brick wood-fire place; and a sweeping front serving counter. There is an 18m by 3m undercover verandah.
The views of the lush green pasture and rolling hills from inside the barn as well as on the verandah and lawn terraces are spectacular. There are 3 bathrooms; and certified disabled access. Frida's Field is located just off the main Bangalow Road, 25 minutes from central Byron Bay and 25 minutes from the Ballina-Byron Airport - it is a beautiful scenic drive along good sealed roads the whole way.

Allowed events
Host rules
Music must not exceed 90 decibels inside the restaurant space.
All musicians and DJs must be approved by Frida’s Field management.
Music and event must cease by 10pm (council requirement).
Barn to be closed up at 8pm to reduce external noise.
All guests must vacate the event space and Frida’s Field grounds by 10:30pm (council requirement).

Frida's Field is a completely private 120-acre eco-farm, event space, and award-winning restaurant in the Byron Hinterland just 25 minutes from Byron Bay. We are available for exclusive hire and can customize a range of experiences to suit the needs of different types of groups - from long lunches, cocktail events, and corporate presentations to tree plantings, farm tours, workshops, and more!
