Established in 1963, VBC started with a solitary green and clubhouse situated on the southern side of the current premises. Rapidly ingrained within the community fabric, the club expanded its offerings, introducing a second green in 1965 alongside bar facilities and a commercial kitchen and restaurant.
Since then, the club has continuously evolved, enriching its amenities to include entertainment options like TAB, gaming machines, and Keno, as well as a dedicated functions room for special occasions.
Marking its 50th anniversary in 2013, Valentine Bowling Club remains a cornerstone of the local area, actively supporting various community groups and sporting teams while maintaining excellence on the bowling green.
Recent years have seen significant renovations, with notable enhancements such as the expansion and refurbishment of Jessie’s on the Water kitchen, the introduction of a new bar and alfresco dining area in 2016, and a substantial upgrade to the gaming and sports zone in 2019. Notably, a new synthetic bowling green was added in 2022.
