The Alfresco Patio is a great spot for all kinds of events, from pre-wedding brunches and baby showers to laid-back corporate lunches or celebrations. It fits up to 35 people seated or 60 standing, giving you an amazing space without a big price tag.

Tucked away and slightly raised, it’s a private area where guests can enjoy the view while feeling tucked away from the Botanical Garden’s greenery. The dedicated entry makes it perfect for casual speeches or just keeping your group together.

With weather protection, heaters to keep everyone cozy, and a SONOS sound system for your favorite playlist, the patio is ready to set the mood for your special day.

About The Terrace

Located in the unrivaled setting of Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, a true Melbourne icon is revitalized—a conservatory by an ornamental lake. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight to the right of the space create soft, natural light and a bright, airy space while providing a moody, romantic vibe while watching the sunset overlooking the gardens.

The Bi-folding doors allow the space to extend onto the private alfresco patio, providing fresh air and offering a unique experience of an indoor/outdoor dancefloor. Inside, the space boasts quality finishes with terrazzo floors, a luxurious green marble bar, neutral lounging furniture, and an ornate statement pillar. The entire venue can comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests. Interchangeable furniture provides countless options, and a private suite can be utilized in multiple ways, such as a green room or cloakroom, catering to the needs of your event.

An in-house SONOS surround sound system, two handheld microphones and a lectern are a great addition for casual AV requirements, with the option to work with AV suppliers for additional services. Private bathrooms and a dedicated events kitchen are the cherries on top of this space, meaning your guests are self-contained to sit back and enjoy your next event at The Terrace!
