About this space
Grand Bar can accommodate up to 300 guests for a stand up event. Alternatively the space can be booked for 40-50 guests for a sit down event on one long table. Grand Bar has 12 metre high ceilings, tall arched & windows & six booths around the edges of the space. There is an elevated DJ booth & 10 metre long Brass bar. This space is perfect for a daytime event including product launches or corporate lunches; or in the evening for a large stand up Cocktail Party. The space has high top round tables & bar stools.

No smoking in the building. No external catering permitted.
Under 18s: we must be notified in advance - this will be assessed on a case by case basis.
No refunds for cancellations five days or less before your Function.
Payment due 7 business days before the Function.

About The Rawson
Housed in the iconic Rawson Institute for Seamen Building at 100 George St in the Rocks, The Rawson is a multi-level venue housing a restaurant, terrace overlooking the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Bar & Private Function Spaces.
With eight metre ceilings, large arched windows and floorboards throughout, the unique Grand Bar & Chapel can hold up to 300 guests (stand up) or p to 1209 guests sit down, for a Private Function. Mirar Bar on the top floor has a dancefloor & bar with two smaller breakout spaces & is perfect for up to 190 guests for an exclusive stand-up Function.
The Terrace, Conservatory & Restaurant can be joined for Functions of up to 200 guests.
For 21st Birthdays, these will be approved on a case by case basis, subject to a site inspection by the guest before confirming the booking. For 21st Birthdays, one security guard per 50 guests or part thereof is required at a cost of $300 per guard (pre-payable 7 days in advance). A Bond of $500 is also required to be pre-paid in case of any damage. This is refundable subject to a site check within 7 days post-Function. No minors permitted onsite after 9PM.
