The Chapel offers a truly unique setting with its exquisite stained glass windows, featuring a long high-top table running down the centre (with bar stools for up to 18 guests) and inviting, comfortable lounges. Perfect for stand-up style events, it has the capacity to accommodate up to 50 guests, with banquette seating arranged around the edges, creating an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere.
Conveniently located adjacent to the Grand Bar, The Chapel promises not only a unique but also a memorable event experience. This carefully curated space combines elegance with functionality, offering an ideal backdrop for various occasions.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no Bar in the Chapel so guests are required to go into Grand Bar (about 10 metres from The Chapel) to order.

No refunds for cancellations five days or less before your Function.

About The Rawson
Housed in the iconic Rawson Institute for Seamen Building at 100 George St in the Rocks, The Rawson is a multi-level venue housing a restaurant, terrace overlooking the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Bar & Private Function Spaces.
With eight metre ceilings, large arched windows and floorboards throughout, the unique Grand Bar & Chapel can hold up to 300 guests (stand up) or p to 1209 guests sit down, for a Private Function. Mirar Bar on the top floor has a dancefloor & bar with two smaller breakout spaces & is perfect for up to 190 guests for an exclusive stand-up Function.
The Terrace, Conservatory & Restaurant can be joined for Functions of up to 200 guests.
For 21st Birthdays, these will be approved on a case by case basis, subject to a site inspection by the guest before confirming the booking. For 21st Birthdays, one security guard per 50 guests or part thereof is required at a cost of $300 per guard (pre-payable 7 days in advance). A Bond of $500 is also required to be pre-paid in case of any damage. This is refundable subject to a site check within 7 days post-Function. No minors permitted onsite after 9PM.
