About this space
Much to the dismay of gentlemen across our fair city, we have transformed this former chess club and smoking room into an intimate space with a cocktail bar, furnished with antique pieces and full of refurbished heritage features.
With a sense of privacy and separation from the rest of the venue, the Attic is a thriving hub for private functions and networking events.

Great venue for daughter’s 21st birthday for 60 people. Plenty of room to sit, mingle and dance. Audio and AV were good. Private bar
Toilets shared with pub so were not well maintained and messy.

I hosted a small reception in the Attic Bar for 50 ppl. Caitlin was very helpful and attentive with my inquiries and request for the event. The on-duty staff were also very friendly. Guests loved the cosy atmosphere and the very central location of the hotel (it was raining but they were able to walk under shelter to Town hall station, which is literally a couple minutes away). The food was tasty, except for the curry which was a bit too spicy for some guests.
