About Rosman Cruises

Rosman ferries are a continuing part of Sydney Harbour heritage. They have been providing legendary charter services for almost a century. Now in their distinctive red and yellow livery, Rosman vessels first carried passengers from Circular Quay to all parts of the Harbour in the early 1900s. They also plied routes along the Parramatta and Lane Cove rivers.

Originally based in Mosman Bay, the fleet moved to their current home in Berry’s Bay after the business was sold to Matthews Brothers in 1987. The Noakes Group acquired Rosman in 2008 and the vessels now enjoy the skilled care of the Noakes shipyard team.

There are two meticulously maintained vessels in the fleet: Royale and Regal II. Each has its own distinct capacity and facilities. But they all share the common charm of classic wooden ships. They give a uniquely memorable charter experience.

Today these elegant crafts sail the same waters, most often on charter but also carrying passengers on behalf of the Sydney Ferries public transport service. They are seen by millions every year as they take part in Vivid, Australia Day, the New Year’s Eve celebrations and the start of the Sydney-to-Hobart yacht race.

Rosman vessels offer the full range of charter options including corporate transfers and events, wedding transport, private harbour cruises and celebrations, children’s events and school excursions.
