Kensington Studios is a versatile event space located in the heart of Toronto's vibrant Kensington Market. This unique venue, housed in a historic Victorian home, offers a variety of spaces perfect for a range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations.

Our Studios

The Light Room: This bright and airy space features high ceilings, large windows, and a built-in bar. It's perfect for receptions, cocktail parties, and other social events.

The Dark Room: This more intimate space offers a cozy atmosphere, ideal for meetings, workshops, performances, or dinners. Change the lighting and it's a full on club.

The Tiki Room: This unique space features a tropical theme perfect for themed parties, photo shoots, or any event that requires a summer vibes.

Cloud Room: located in the basement, featuring a sound sensitive cloud ceiling, and make up station.

Kensington Studios is an ideal setting for events with a vintage or eclectic vibe.

All Bookings Include:

Access to all spaces within the Studio

Built-in Bar: The Light Room features a fully equipped bar with a 3 sinks, 3 fridges, coolers, and ice maker.

Sound System: The venue is equipped with a sound system to enhance your event's ambiance. System includes 2 EV Subwoofers, 2 EV Speakers, 2 Fender Speakers

RGB Light Installation: Our customizable tube light installation is sound sensitive and include multiple looks. All lighting is customizable throughout the studio

Wi-Fi: High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.

Restrooms: Clean and well-maintained restrooms are available for guests.

Furniture: 7ft dinning table, 5 folding tables (1 6ft, 2 5ft, 2 4ft), 5 bar stools, 6 Director chairs, 4 tall director chairs, 5 arm chairs, 2 benches.

Heating and cooling available all seasons.

* For parties of 40+, 1 security personnel must be added. For parties of 60+, 2 security personnel are required.

** A Special Occasions Permit (SOP) is required for all events with alcohol present.

Host rules

- No smoking or vaping inside or by the front door.
- As per Toronto regulations, music must be turned down by 2 am, and everyone must leave by 3am.
- Please be respectful of the space and try to return it in the same manner received.
- If any furniture is moved, please return to original location.
- No sparks or flammable objects.

Fully Sound-Proofed and Sound-Treated, this studio is perfect for vocal recordings, ADR, Foley, Sound engineering, Sound Mixing, Interviews, and podcasts. The studio is equipped with microphones, RGB LED lighting, 6 different backdrops, and a vocal recording booth.
