Located in the West Midlands, Wolverhampton may be slightly off the beaten track, but it offers a wealth of opportunities for an exciting event. With easy access to Birmingham by road and to London by rail, you will not need to worry about visitors having trouble reaching your event. The city’s historic past is still reflected in the cityscape, with Victorian townhomes and buildings nestled amongst gorgeous greenspaces.
City Centre - The centre of Wolverhampton offers a range of historic sights, although much of the city life is more focused on the suburbs. Much of the city centre area is dominated by the local shopping mall, Mander Centre. Hotels are not so plentiful within this area. However, the restaurant scene is busy with a range of multicultural offerings. Pubs are also a popular venue here. For meeting rooms and professional events, you will not be disappointed with the selection. For larger weddings and events, head outside of the Ring Road to the suburbs.
Outside the Centre - These areas of Wolverhampton includes areas such as Compton, Tettenhall, Finchfield, Merridale, Horseley Fields and Whitmore Reans. Located outside the A4150 Ring Road, these greener districts offer a more green feel, with their selection parks and more open spaces. This area is are a definite change from the bustle of the centre. Restaurants and hotels are plentiful here, as well as large venues for conferences and weddings.
