Your Guide to Hiring Gig Venues in London

London is a gig capital, so there’s no surprise that it offers endless amounts of gig venues for hire. Whether you’re looking for a small, intimate room or a huge space for hundreds of people, hard rock climates or jazz ambience, budget-friendly or high-end prices, South or North London, we’ve got you covered. Choose your dream spot and make sure the buzz doesn’t fade out for a long while. With our help, you can create the ultimate concert experience at a gig venue that supports all your needs.

Here are some tips that might help you make your gig stand out:

  • Location is key. Make sure the area is well-connected and easy to get to, you don’t want your audience travelling for half a day to get to the venue!
  • Try out the facilities. The venue might look good on paper, but in reality getting the sound right is tricky. A soundcheck before the gig is a must to make sure the audio setup works well and discuss all the details with the staff.
  • Create the right vibe. Your concert might be technically flawless, but you can’t be successful without a good atmosphere! Immerse your audience in your music and make sure everyone has the time of their lives.

Booked Venue Room at The Cavendish Arms

The Cavendish Arms helped me put on a bloody fantastic Saturday night gig for my birthday. It was absolutely perfect, and so professionally managed by all the staff. In fact, at the end of the night, no one was dancing in the function room anymore, everyone wanted to cram into the small space in front of the bar because the bar staff were giving off such excellent party vibes. Our band sounded brilliant too, not too loud in the smallish venue space, thanks to the skills of Bison, the sound man. Biba was a charming hostess and and DJ Dan's music choices were spot-on. We loved it all. I'd happily recommend the venue although on second thoughts, maybe I won't tell anyone.

Booked Main Hall at Magdalen Hall
4.5
We're a pop choir who booked the main hall for our autumn gig, and we had a great time. The room was a good size for our audience to sit around a mix of small and big tables, and the hall was really easy to decorate into the vibe that we wanted (Halloween/nightlife). The stage was nice and spacious for the choir, without feeling too intimidating, and it had good acoustics. Sound equipment and lighting were useful, and the bar staff were brilliant (as were the bar prices!). We also loved being able to pay for clean-up at the end, rather than having to do this ourselves. The admin staff were friendly and helpful with communication about our needs/the facilities in the run-up to the event, and afterwards too. Liaising was definitely more straightforward than we've experienced with some other venues in the past, and our deposit was repaid very promptly. The booking was very reasonably priced for a central London location and a decent capacity, and we do enjoy partnering with community groups like ourselves. Thanks for such a fun night!

I was SO impressed at the standard of service at this venue. I threw my 30th birthday in the backroom and also produced a cabaret show for the guests. The team were so helpful and Friendly with the planning leading up to the event, and on the day the the tech run was so efficient and well organised, and my guests were looked after so well during the night. I have worked with many venues, this by far delivers the best. The pub itself is super unique with its decor, and the backroom has an amazing karaoke machine! The food was also brilliant, super tasty pizza from the pizza oven. We will certainly be back!!

The price for the space was extremely generous and the efforts the team put in to make the venue look great for our event. They even set up candles and handled the lighting, I was extremely appreciative. They are so kind and will try their efforts to fix any issues. Thank you!!

Booked Venue Room at The Cavendish Arms

Great set up for a night of live music. The two rooms give guests the option of hanging out in the quiet bar or being in the room with the bands. Sound quality was great for a small venue. Excellent communication from the venue throughout process of organising the event, also accommodating special requests etc.
