Your Guide to Hiring Private Bars in Glasgow

Bars in Glasgow are thick on the ground in the city centre - from Merchant City up to Finnieston. Brewing companies, cocktail bars, gin bars and wine bars, and every other kind of bar in between are all ready and willing to host your event. Your choice simply depends on the type of bar, and venue size that you need. Private bar hire can encompass both a whole venue or simply function room hire, it all depends on the number of attendees. Whichever you choose, make sure the bar ambiance and decor suit your style. Any tips for hiring a private bar in Glasgow?

Sure, here are a few tips for hiring a private bar in Glasgow!

  • Set your budget - Before you start your venue search, it's important to determine how much you are willing to spend for the venue hire. Try to determine how much you can spend, as this will help you narrow your options and ensure that you stay within your budget.
  • Choose the event type - Would you like to host a sit-down event, or a classy cocktail party? What kind of atmosphere do you want to create? Answering these questions will help you decide if, for example, a cosy wine bar, a classy bar or a lively cocktail bar will be the best choice for your event.
  • Book early - To ensure that the private bar you're interested in is available on the date and time of your event, start your search at least eight weeks in advance. Some venues are really popular and are booked up quickly, so if you want to have a shot at them, you should act fast!
  • Check the capacity - Make sure the private bar has enough space to accommodate all of your guests comfortably. You don't want to book a venue that is too small or too big for your event!
  • Ask about amenities - Ask about all the amenities which the venue offers. Be specific: do they offer  catering, a sound system, or decorations? Some private bars may offer these services, while others may require you to bring or hire your own.
  • Read reviews - To avoid any disappointments, check reviews from previous customers to get an idea of the quality of service and experience you can expect.

By keeping these tips in mind, we’re more than sure that you will find the perfect private bar for your event in Glasgow!

Booked Salon de Luxe at Mackintosh at the Willow
5.0
The Salon de Luxe is the perfect venue for intimate private dining. We had a sophisticated retirement party for 20 guests. On arrival, we were greeted with reception bubbly and then enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal at our leisure. The waiters were attentive and our glasses were always full. We were also able to access the speaker system and enjoyed our own bespoke playlist. All guests have commented that the evening was a great success. Happy to recommend as not easy to find a place that caters so well for the smaller party size. The historic setting made the evening feel extra special.
