About The Oval Bar
The Oval Bar was built in 1820. It is an Irish pub in the centre of Dublin. The Oval is special because it was caught up in the chaos of revolution during the 1916 Rising, again during the Civil War in 1922. It was badly damaged, but it has survived as one of Dublin's great licensed landmarks. Come and learn more about our history!
