About Go Ape Grizedale
Feel the anticipation build on the long winding approach to Go Ape Grizedale which nestles between the lakes Coniston Water and Windermere.
Even by our standards, these are super high courses but the stunning views across the incredible Lake District, with mountains and lakes as your backdrop, are worth the inevitable increase in heart rate.
Grizedale is a mecca for zip wire lovers. Each of the high ropes courses offers seriously long flights but the king of forest flying is Zip Trekking Adventure – a spine-tingling 3km aerial adventure. Once you’ve unhooked yourself from your tree high travels why not try one of the 10 walking trails ranging from 1 to 10 miles.
If you’re feeling fit head up to the highest point in Grizedale which offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the Lake District fells.
Bring or hire bikes. There are several cycling routes, some on forest roads and others for more extreme cyclists.
Keep your eyes wide open – Grizedale is the home to the largest site-related ‘Sculpture in the Forest’ exhibition in the country.
Pack up a picnic or bring some charcoal as there are picnic and BBQ areas, or you can grab a drink and a bite to eat at the Visitor Centre tearoom.
