Loved everything about Eagle & Ball. The events manager was extremely helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. He was very happy to take the time to show us around and sit down and discuss the plans and various options. The staff were attentive, the bar was well stocked and the venue itself was clean with character but with a modern twist. It was also very reasonably priced to hire the entire pub for the evening. Disabled facilities were also handy.
Not a lot at all. The lack of parking may be a slight issue for some people, but there is plenty of parking not too far away so it wasn't really a problem for most of our guests.
The Venue, the staff, the food, the location, everything!
We loved everything about this venue. John and his team were so welcoming, and everyone commented on the day how polite and welcoming his team were at the bar, and serving food. The food was great, we ordered a pizza buffet and had a few with dietary requests that were catered for beautifully, and without any fuss. Beth did a great job in the kitchen. The communication between John and the team was quick and responsive from day one, and he answered any questions we had and was able to cater for our needs with sound equipment for our uke group get together! I cannot fault any of the day- we had a brilliant get together, thoroughly enjoyed by all of us at The Awesome Ukulele Academy- for most of us it was the first time we’d seen each other face to face as we meet via zoom lessons with members from all over the U.K. and abroad. Thank you so much John and all your team at the Eagle & Ball. Would highly recommend to anyone, literally cannot fault any part of the day. We really appreciate all your hard work. I planned a surprise party for my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The venue was great, so much room! I sent the pub a large selection of photos of my boyfriend to be hung at the venue prior to the party and they hung them around the venue like bunting - it looked amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, they were so friendly and efficient. Everyone had a fantastic time, we all want to do it again!

Standing proudly on the corner of Penn Street and Gopsal Street, just off Birmingham’s Eastside City Park, the Eagle and Ball is a Grade II Listed, Victorian pub with a rich heritage and plenty of character.
Within our pub, we offer a spacious room with a cosy backdrop and plenty of flexibility to host your next celebration, meeting or event. The Eagle and Ball is available for exclusive private hire at the weekends.
