Treetop Challenge at Go Ape Forest of Dean (Mallards Pike)
About this space
How far will you dare to go? With the option to adjust the difficulty of this high ropes course, you can crank it up each time you complete a lap of our Treetop Challenge. Even for the most adventurous, this is a high one - 15-meters to be precise.
The Stirrups require all of your core strength as you wobble from one to the next, while the aptly named Mallards Ladder makes for a suitably tricky ascent. If you’re looking for fresh ways to push yourself this course includes a number of new challenges including the Tank Trap and The Shuffle – plenty to get the blood pumping for the ultimate adrenaline rush.

Spanning three counties – Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, this area of the Forest of Dean has some serious claims to historical fame. It was King Henry VIII’s hunting forest and its mystical, magical settings were the inspiration for the Tolkien books. So, you can expect beautiful views and something a little special from this location.
Enjoy a stroll beside the waterside at the scenic Mallards Pike Lake, where you'll find a café to refuel.
You’re spoilt for choice at Go Ape Mallards Pike. You can explore and enjoy England’s largest oak woodland and one of our most beautiful adventures from the treetops or the forest floor. The Challenge course is definitely one for the bold and brave with its newly extended zip wires and if you enjoy your fun closer to earth you can zip off on one of our all-terrain electric Segways.
