The Tudor Hall welcomes up to 120 guests for a reception and up to 66 guests for a classic dinner party. Featuring magnificent stone walls graced with paintings, tapestries, and a collection of medieval weapons, this room is beautifully illuminated by natural light. For a less festive get together, The Baron’s Sitting Room will be the most suitable choice. Boasting a cosy atmosphere, it provides a warm space by a roaring fire. The room is situated on the first floor giving you the perfect view over the courtyard.
Although there’s plenty of charming spots to say ‘I do’ inside the castle, it is hard to resist the glorious scenery of Tudor Walled Gardens. If you dream of an outdoor ceremony, let the abundance of colours be the witness to your big moment.

About Thornbury Castle
Thornbury Castle is an impressive place with a long history that has been home to kings, queens, and dukes alike. Built in the 16th century, this Tudor castle still stands today, captivating its guests with preserved architecture and traditional interiors.
There are 26 individually designed bedrooms onsite available all year round. Small and charming suites, as well as grand royal bedchambers — each of them has something unique to offer. Visit one of the dining rooms for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and taste the extravagant, mouth watering dishes known for their high quality. The castle’s courtyard is yours to explore and archery, croquet, and falconry lessons are available.
Thornbury Castle is set within 15 acres of natural ground in South Gloucestershire. Some of the most impressive local attractions are comfortably located a short distance from the venue, including Thornbury & District Museum, Bristol Harbourside, Roman Baths, and beautiful Cotswolds.
