About this space
Darwin Conference Suite is a flexible conference venue, situated in Darwin College, and available all year round.
The suite provides an adaptable space for a maximum of 200 people. It can be used as one large room or divided, with soundproofed walls, into three smaller rooms with a capacity of 40 to 100 people. The space has its own reception area, cloakroom, dance floor, and bar.
The flexibility of this space allows for a wide range of meeting and event needs to be met. Boardroom or theatre style for those important business meetings or talks or banqueting style for dinner dances.

Host rules
• The University reserves the right to approve any externally arranged entertainment, services or activities that you have agreed to and cannot accept liability for any costs. Public Liability and Risk Assessments will be required before an event occurs.
• Should any of your delegates be unable to correct any aspect of poor behaviour or activities unacceptable to the University, we reserve the right to terminate the event. Should this occur, no monies will be refunded and the Manager’s decision is final.
• The costs of repairing any damage caused to the property, contents or grounds by any of your guests must be reimbursed to the University by the Client.
• No wines, spirits or foods brought into the University may be consumed unless specific alternative arrangements have been made.
• The University’s name/logo may be used in publicity, once proof of the promotional material has been agreed with the University.
• The Client is responsible for ensuring that any band or musician employed by them complies with the statutory requirements of the University Management.
• The University must comply with certain licensing and statutory regulations and requires the Client to fulfil their obligations in this respect.
• You are required to obtain prior written approval if you wish to fix items to the walls, floors or ceilings.
• Please note that pets and other animals are not allowed at the University of Kent except guide or support dogs. If you are bringing a guide or support dog, please notify the University of Kent when booking.
