Nestled in award-winning Castle Park, The Summerhouse is an 18th century structure modelled after a Roman temple and built by Scottish architect Charles Gray.
Located just behind Colchester Castle and overlooking the park, The Summerhouse provides a secluded setting for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception.
The picturesque parkland, with its beautiful gardens and romantic walkways, will be a stunning backdrop for your photographs.
A part of the park is also licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies. You can put up marquees to celebrate your marriage among the tranquil natural surroundings.
In case the weather is unkind on your big day, you and your party can move to the Town Hall’s Council Chamber.
