About The Savings Bank

The Savings Bank, located at 67 Bridge St in Glasgow’s Laurieston area, just south of the Clyde and a short distance from the city centre, is a venue rich in history and character. Originally built in 1889 as a savings bank for Glasgow’s working class, it later served as a Greek restaurant and a poker den before being transformed into a distinctive hall that reflects its storied past.
