College Hall, designed by architect Sir J J Burnett, is the largest function suite at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. It features an ornate ceiling, chandeliers, and a Victorian fireplace, accommodating up to 115 seated guests or 150 standing. This versatile space hosts corporate dinners, meetings, banquets, conferences, and exhibitions, with accessibility features like an induction loop.
The Princess Alexandra Room, dating from the 1820s, offers elegance with a chandelier, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a baby grand piano, perfect for intimate gatherings. The Lower Library, once a reading room, houses a collection of historic medical textbooks, providing a characterful setting rich in history.
Named after surgeon Sir Joseph Lister, the Lister Room honors his contributions to antiseptic surgery. The Lock Room, a former drawing room named after Glasgow’s Lock Hospital, retains its historic charm. The Macewen Clinical Skills Suite offers state-of-the-art facilities for medical training, named after surgeon Sir William Macewen.
