Our spot has a unique vibe with dim lighting, low ceilings, an exposed brick basement with armchairs, wooden tables, and neon. There's a bar, modern sound and lighting systems, and seating that works for club nights, private parties, live shows, and even corporate events. We welcome gatherings of 70 guests and beyond, with a maximum capacity of 150.
As a nightclub, we’re all about open-format music - everything from mainstream bangers to underground beats. DJs and performers get their own dedicated setup, and there are plenty of comfy areas to sit and rest.

- No smoking inside the building
- Outside catering is allowed with prior approval
- No alcohol from outside sources permitted
- All events must end by 2 am unless otherwise agreed
- Decorations are allowed but must not cause damage to the space
- No confetti or glitter permitted
- Equipment must be handled responsibly; any damage will incur charges
- Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted after 9 pm
- By booking The Basement, guests agree to adhere to these rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

About The Basement
The Basement is a unique underground spot, great for not only clubbing and gigs but also unusual weddings and corporate gatherings. Its low ceilings and exposed brickwork give it an intimate and intriguing vibe, especially when paired with retro decor. Here at The Basement late bar & club, we mix up alternative music & entertainment, cocktails & a happy vibe, to bring something that bit different to the Leicester scene. With soul, funk, hip hop, reggae, dance & bass, and just about everything in between, we've got it going on.
And because we are also available for private hire, you can host your own thing too. The nightclub can accommodate 70 to 150 guests, plus, it’s available seven days a week. Please note, events are for guests 18 and older. Let us help make your occasion special at The Basement.
