About this space

Our Kolbox is a versatile space perfect for numerous occasions and events from presentations, cinema nights and company away days to parties and weddings. The space has a max capacity of 90 people and has a bar of its own as well as screen, projector and sound system. The space is located underneath our main bar, accessible via stairs, so perfect as a clubroom basement for live music and DJ sets with a midnight ending bar licence as standard.

Host rules

1. No smoking or vaping in the building, only in designated outside smoking areas.
2. No outside catering allowed apart from cakes/ birthday cakes.
3. Rooftop closes at 10pm so last orders will usually be called around 9:30pm. Last orders for the rest of the venue called around 11:30/11:45pm as our licence ends at midnight.
4. Decorations are allowed for any private hire booking but do not include the use of glitter or confetti. Any decorations you bring with you are to be taken with you on the night or collected within 48 hours of your booking. Blue/white tac and cellotape may be used but drawing pins are prohibited.
5. Please make us aware of any special requirements you may have, along with any allergies or dietary requirements in your party and we will be happy to accommodate.
6. Children can attend private bookings but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
7. Tempest on Tithebarn has a zero tolerance drugs policy and any abuse or violence towards to staff will result in your booking ending immediately.

About Tempest on Tithebarn

The Tempest is a fantastic space to host your event, whether it be an office party, birthday, wedding, or christening.

We are situated in the heart of the city centre with excellent transport links and very close to local amenities and tourist attractions such as the Albert Dock and Liverpool’s Pier Head.

Whether you are reserving a table for a few friends or hiring out one of our four spaces, Tempest is a versatile space. We can accommodate most types of functions and private hire requests, so please get in touch with our team to discuss your event.

Most of our bookable spaces are available 7 nights a week, including our stunning Roof Terrace and Kol Box. Whatever the occasion, eat, drink and get together at Tempest on Tithebarn.
