About this space
On the ground floor to the rear of the main foyer in this spectacular Westminster event venue is the Stephenson room – one of our smaller yet traditional-style function rooms.
The event space, although slightly smaller than some, has high ceilings and large windows along the west wall allowing in lots of natural daylight. The walls are partially covered with rich, dark-oak paneling and the ceilings are adorned with beautifully-embellished plaster and lit by a large chandelier. There is a grand fireplace on the South wall framed by a splendid dark wood mantelpiece, above which hangs the portrait of Isambard Kingdom Brunel one of the Institution’s most noted past presidents.

About One Great George Street
One Great George Street is a central London conference center, event and wedding venue in Westminster. Set in a magnificent Grade II listed, four-domed, Edwardian building the conference center is very close to the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and St James’s Park.
All the 21 function rooms offer flexible space for a range of events. The venue is able to host a maximum of up to 400 guests for a reception or 240 for an event in one of our individual meeting spaces.
You can also hire the building for exclusive use. The event spaces can be linked with sound and vision to connect delegates around the building attending the same event. Therefore increasing the normal 400 capacity in an innovative way.
