About this space
A cosy basement space with screens, sound system, it's own bar and a karaoke machine. Our private function room holds up to 60 people standing or 40 seated.
This space is ideal for birthdays, receptions, sporting occasions or family get-togethers. We've hosted a wealth of events from pub quizzes, comedy nights, casino parties and more! Get in touch with any questions and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Great venue. The function room is a great sized space where you are able to either play your own music or have Karaoke which they have set up
Really friendly and helpful staff nothing too much trouble.
Pizzas are delicious and great range of beers.

Great space for a prty, and very friendly and helpful staff. It's great as you can bring your own music, there is karaoke if you want. There are seats but plenty of space for dancing. Toilets are rigt next to the space as well. It is very reasonably priced in terms of minimum spend. Would recommend.
Closes a bit too early on the weekend (at midnight)!

The venue was clean, easy to get to, and well-equipped. We ordered catering, and the pizzas were all great quality, delicious. The staff were also amazingly helpful and friendly. As for the hired space, it was private and dimly lit for nice evening parties.
The basement space is advertised as fitting 60 people, but it was quite tight for our party of 50. Granted, everyone chose to stand and the chairs and benches around the room weren't utilised for anything other than bags, but even so, the noise level bounced around the room quite a lot that some had to shout

About The Regent
In the perfect spot just off the hustle and bustle of Upper Street, The Regent’s setting makes us popular day and night whether that’s popping in for coffee and a flick of the papers or for dinner and drinks with friends later in the day.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional service and a warm welcome to all.
Check out our amazing menu, we are famous for our stone baked pizzas, we have an excellent array of lager and craft ales, a lovely wine list, cocktails and more.
The private hire space itself is on the lower ground floor of our established pub and is a really flexible space. The room fits up to 60 people and has its own sound system & karaoke machine. Anything you wanted to order (draught, cocktails, etc) can be ordered from the bar and our full menu is available to you on the day and of course via a pre order. We can set up the room to your needs, as a dance floor, a full seated dining experience or anything inbetween. There is also a TV screen should you wish to show photos etc during your time with us.
