About this space

The Gallery, Kitchen, and Garden comprise of the entire ground floor of Van Gogh House. The gallery comprises of the double reception room with its period wooden floors and original features. Used as an exhibition space it may have art on the walls.

The kitchen is a light and airy modern extension to the rear of the house overlooking a colourful and thoughtfully planted garden. These beautiful interlocking spaces provide a unique backdrop to private dining experiences, product or book launches, corporate receptions, and other special events. This small gem of a house is perfect for small wedding blessings and religious ceremonies.

The Ursula Room can be added to the event hire of the Gallery, Kitchen Garden to extend the capacity of a unique superclub experience.

WWe have a variety of table set ups and covers up to 20. We are able to hire any extra furniture needed and have a list of preferred suppliers we work with regularly.

50% of the hire fee and a 25% damages fee is paid upfront, 50% is due at least 10 working days prior to your event.

Host rules

Van Gogh House is a local heritage site conserved for future generations and we kindly ask hirers to take care of the space while they are in it. A maximum of 30 people are allowed in the house at any one time. Smoking is only permitted in the garden where an ashtray will be provided. Candles and decoration are at the decretion of the owners only and must be discussed in advance. Nothing should be attached to the walls.

About Van Gogh House

Van Gogh House is a stunningly conserved Georgian Terrace House in Stockwell, in which its eponymous former resident lived in 1873. Beautifully renovated in 2018, the architecture reveals its history in period features and original floorboards.

A bright and airy modern extension to the rear looks over a garden thoughtfully planted with the flowers Van Gogh would have seen in the 19th century. It's a unique setting for private dinners and supper clubs, a private place for meetings, an atmospheric background for a product or book launch.
