About this space

Formed in 1860, Thames Rowing Club is one of the country’s oldest and most successful rowing clubs. Licensed for up to 150 seated, 300 people standing, The Bar and The Great Hall can be opened up for a variety of events, from small meetings and intimate dinner parties to weddings and conferences.

Along with 6 meter high ceilings, The Great Hall also features large french doors which slide open to a large balcony, revealing unparalleled views of Putney Bridge and Hammersmith.

In-house package - £95+VAT per person

The venue hire (Tuesday/Wednesday): £2,000+VAT
The venue hire (Friday): £3,600+VAT

The kitchen hire is £600+VAT for our preferred caterer, or £1,000+VAT for external caterers, which includes crockery, cutlery, glassware, white linen, white napkins and kitchen equipment. You are then welcome to bring in your own caterer, or you are welcome to use our recommended suppliers list.

About Thames Rowing Club

Our beautiful clubhouse was first built in 1879 and has been extended and improved over the years. In 2011 we renovated the bar, hall and social areas to create a light, airy modern space which retains all the character of the Victorian building. The walls are decorated with rowing photographs and memorabilia dating from the 1860s to the present day and celebrating our club’s successes both domestically and internationally. On sunny days the balcony is an ideal spot to watch the world pass by.

Thames is the perfect Putney wedding venue, or the ideal place for a birthday party, christening or other celebration as well as corporate away days, conferences, and training courses.
