The Fairbairn Room and Bar space are perfect for a private dining event or as a meeting space for smaller numbers. Space overlooks the River Thames and has access to the bar.

The Fairbairn Room is also perfect for more intimate events. This room is suitable for smaller meetings, or as a breakout space.

About Thames Rowing Club

Our beautiful clubhouse was first built in 1879 and has been extended and improved over the years. In 2011 we renovated the bar, hall and social areas to create a light, airy modern space which retains all the character of the Victorian building. The walls are decorated with rowing photographs and memorabilia dating from the 1860s to the present day and celebrating our club’s successes both domestically and internationally. On sunny days the balcony is an ideal spot to watch the world pass by.

Thames is the perfect Putney wedding venue, or the ideal place for a birthday party, christening or other celebration as well as corporate away days, conferences, and training courses.
