Located just a two-minute walk from Aldgate tube station, The Gate sits on the intersection of the City of London and London’s most creative and vibrant areas of Shoreditch, Hoxton. Brick Lane and Hackney. The iconic Tower Bridge and riverfront is a 10 minute walk away.

On the fifth floor, The Lounge brings together the hotel’s boutique atmosphere with an eclectic East London flare, furnished with beautiful original and new Mid-Century furniture and art curated by Maddox Gallery.

The Lounge is a dynamic space, perfect for private events like birthday parties, after work drinks, corporate events and wedding receptions. The tranquil terrace is also an ideal space to host seasonal events like barbecues, wine tastings or wellbeing classes throughout the summer.

Featuring a bar, dining area, lounge and a unique catering proposition for private events, the comfortable lounge is transformed throughout the day and night, making it the ideal space for your next event, whether you’re hosting an intimate private dining for 20 people or a cocktail evening for 80.

Whether you're looking for a venue to host your company Christmas party, or a private area for a smaller festive gatherings, The Fifth Floor Lounge at The Gate is the perfect spot to celebrate this time of year.

Aside from exclusive hire, our Lounge area can also be hired semi-private, with both the Easy Side and West side available. We have a n extensive list of festive drinks packages available, canapes and bowls menus, as well as finishing touches such as DJ or live music.

- 12 Shots of Christmas: £50 (Choose from a selection of Jager Bombs, Tequila, Sambuca or mixed Sourz shots).
- Gin-gle All the Way: £105. (1 Bottle of Beefeater served with 7 Franklin Tonics / 1 Bottle of Absolut Vodka, served with 6 cans of Red Bull / Coke).
- Baby It's Cold Out-Cider: £55 (A Bucket of 10 bottles of cider in a range of flavours).
- Slippery Slope: £125 (A bottle of Jack Daniels served with 6 cans of Red Bull / coke)
- Sober Santa: £25 (A bucket of 10 refreshing soft drinks).
