About this space

Located in a warehouse building overlooking Hertford Union canal, Chisenhale Dance Space is a vibrant and friendly place to rehearse, network, and perform.

The Performance Studio is 10m x 12.5 (3.3m high), a large, bright Space with a sprung dance floor, sound system with 3.5mm jack, maple wood floors, exposed brick and natural lighting.

During the winter months we have a harlequin floor laid in the Performance Studio. Then in the summer we remove this to expose our beautiful maple wooden dance floor.

We have a shared lounge area with a kitchenette where you are able to eat, however food and drink are not permitted inside the studios themselves.

Host rules

Please note the studios are step-only access and are situated on the second floor. The studios have no mirrors.
We do not allow any hard-soled or heeled shoes in either of our studios. This includes tap, flamenco and ballroom footwear.
We do not allow aerial equipment, poles or any prop that needs affixing to the floor or ceiling.

Studios are available at very low prices; perfect for rehearsals, workshops, auditions and photo/film shoots.

Chisenhale has 2 light and spacious studios with large windows and high ceilings. Facilities include built-in sound systems, wifi, sprung floors, and central heating.

We have a shared lounge area with a kitchenette where you are able to eat, however food and drink are not permitted inside the studios themselves.
