The Terrace at Fox Connaught is the perfect space for those afternoon into evening drinks receptions. Boasting a heated and well-lit, 200 capacity garden. Making it ideal for even those winter months! For private hire, the garden can be cordoned off upon request, providing an even more intimate feel.
If the weather is a concern, we have large umbrellas to cover the terrace so there's no need for a little rain to spoil the fun!
The garden is also ideal for day parties, with plenty of standing space and the option of having a BBQ and Pop up bar installed the possibilities are endless for events on the terrace.

About Fox Connaught
Known as The Fox@Connaught since 2003, this inn dates from 1881 and is a Grade II listed building. The dockside ‘Connaught Tavern’ originally opened to cater for passengers disembarking from craft berthing at the Victoria Docks. However, as passenger numbers reduced the pub found itself catering more for the dock’s labourers and became a daily congregation point for those waiting to be picked for work.
This historic building was designed and built by Victorian architects Vipers and Wagstaff and has undergone a 1/4 million pound refurbishment to the upper floors to convert to a 17 en suite bedroom hotel with room service.
The facilities available to all guests will incorporate meeting room facilities to add to the already vibrant Gastro Bar and A La Carte Restaurant on the ground floor. There is also a large patio area with gardens, a children’s play area and free parking. Our hotel, which has only been running for a short time, has gained a positive reputation for friendly staff and high customer satisfaction.
