About this space

The Fowden Hall, named after renowned Rothamsted Research scientist Professor Sir Leslie Fowden, is the perfect space for a wide range of events.
It's a hugely versatile hall which means it is ideal for formal conferences, business briefings, meetings, workshops, poster sessions, lectures, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, stalls, seminars, team events, VIP dinners, fashion shows, banquets, examinations, training sessions, and parties.
It also offers a large stage area at the front of the hall, plus a mezzanine level as well as a sprung dancefloor. It has five different entry points, allowing delegate flow between the Plaza and the Foyer.
For a more private event, the Fowden has its own separate entrance and lobby area, perfect for a reception table to welcome your guests.
Lastly, a partition wall can be opened into the Fowden Foyer and this is ideal for clients who want to open up the space and encourage delegate flow from the Hall to the Foyer. For example, exhibitions, 'street' style stalls, and training events as a refreshment area.
This space can be used with our Plaza area, which is perfect for networking, lunches, drinks receptions, and exhibitions, before, during, or after your Fowden Hall event.
