The gallery space is located at 266 Hackney Road E2, behind the B.T. Batsford bookshop. It is conveniently situated between Broadway Market and Columbia Road. Lots of foot traffic at weekends! Our neighbors include The Marksman, Dom's Subs, and Waste! Store.
We would be happy to advertise your event in our shop window and on our chalkboard outside.
The space is designed to showcase the work of artists, designers, and crafters. Early exhibitors include the artist Vaughan Grylls and a student artists' event organized by The Filthy Fox.

The cost of hiring the gallery for 1 week is £1,200. This includes all heating and lighting. The gallery opening hours are 11-7 Thursday to Sunday but can be open on other days by arrangement. A private view evening can be held any day of the week from 6-8 pm. The gallery should be returned after use to the same state as it was received. A £250 deposit will be required for weekly+ hires.

Host rules
The gallery can be rented for art installations for a minimum period of a week and a maximum period of three weeks. There is no minimum time for any use of the space not requiring any installations (e.g. workshops, yoga or meditation classes).
The gallery opening hours are 11 – 6.30 Thursday to Sunday but can be open on other days by arrangement. A private view evening can be held any day of the week from 6 – 8 pm.
The building must be locked up by 9 pm at the latest on any day in respect of our neighbors.
The gallery should be returned after use to the same state as it was received.

About B. T. Batsford Gallery
The gallery is located at 266 Hackney Road E2, behind the BT Batsford Book shop.
It is conveniently situated between Broadway Market and Columbia Road on an exciting stretch of the Hackney Road that includes nearby award-winning restaurant Morito’s.
The space is designed to showcase the work of artists, designers and crafters, in some cases those with a connection to Batsford Publishing. Early exhibitors include the artist Vaughan Grylls and a student artists’ event organised by The Filthy Fox Auction Club.
The main gallery space is approximately 15m x 4m. There is another area at the bottom of the stairs that can be used as additional exhibition space and/or workshop, or as a drinks reception area.
There is a small kitchenette and a large fridge. There is also a small cloakroom and a storage area that is used by the bookshop but can also be used by exhibitors.
The gallery is accessed via the bookshop. However, there is a convenient loading bay at the rear of the property. There is Wi-Fi in the shop and in front of the gallery. There are roll-down shutters at the front and back of the property, with no other access to the gallery.
