In the heart of Kings Cross, the 446-seat Shaw Theatre hasplayed host to a wide range of drama, dance, musical theatre and concerts since its opening in 1971.
It is a versatile space suited to all types of performance ranging from classical ballet through to concerts, stand-up comedy, drama and musicals. It’s also a fantastic venue for photo shoots, filming, rehearsed readings, workshops and auditions.
The large stage, measuring an impressive 9.5m x 12m, offers ample room for performances of various scales, accompanied by generously sized wings for seamless transitions.
To cater to the needs of performers, we have thoughtfully included four dressing rooms within the facility. However, for productions with larger casts, additional rooms can be made available for hire, ensuring everyone has the necessary space and privacy.
