After being looked over for so many years, the district of Battersea is finally becoming one of London’s most sought-after event locations. Located in South West London, Battersea is predominantly a residential area which runs along the southern banks of the Thames.
One of the most famous attractions has to be the iconic Battersea Power Station. Originally built in the 1930s, the old power station is one of the world’s largest brick buildings. The art-deco styled power plant has recently been revived and is now home to a mix of restaurants, residences, shops, and event spaces.
The most beloved features of Battersea district, however, has to be Battersea Park. The Park is situated on the southern bank of the Thames River, opposite Chelsea. Battersea Park is home to a children’s zoo, the Peace Pagoda, a boating lake and one of the most sought-after large event venues, Battersea Evolution.

I hosted my 30th birthday party here for about 30-35 guests and everything was impeccable! Everyone had a really fun night - the drinks, the food, the music and the service were all great! The space which I was allocated served really well for my guests - I estimated for 50 and about 43 turned up and they were able to sit or stand when they wanted with enough space. I was also pleasantly surprised that the drinks package ordered served enough for the amount of guests which turned up proving good value for money. The canapes were really nice and had good options for my guests who were vegetarians.
Brilliant - Thoroughly enjoyed the whole event. Attention to detail and the service throughout was perfect. Everything was made easy from start to finish and I would love to hold another event there in the future. I honestly can't fault anything from the whole team at Room43 - Organising a jazz band, the catering, helping with cocktails and the service on the night. It made everything so easy for me and meant I could just enjoy myself without thinking about anything.
I had my 40th birthday party here. Aghil was extremely professional and accommodating, as were the other staff Sean and Christian who were there on the night. It’s a lovely space for a party. The food was absolutely delicious. Oh and the jazz band was excellent too. A thoroughly enjoyable night.
Sugar Cane bar was an absolutely fantastic venue for our Edinburgh Fringe Fundraiser. The venue is unique and beautiful, the staff are very attentive and accommodating, and the management allowed us a lot of flexibility and freedom in creating the event. I would come back and use again in a heartbeat - cannot recommend enough!
Great venue for a unique setting. Very attentive staff who were more than happy to accommodate requests, some being last minute changes! Very friendly and was made to feel very relaxed and left to enjoy ourselves. A great night was had by all!
