About Trafalgar Tavern
Perhaps the most awe-inspiring space in the building, The Nelson Room consists of the main Nelson Ballroom and the adjacent Admiral Room, with bi-fold doors that can be fully opened to create one large open space or closed to create smaller spaces. Being situated on the first floor of the venue, the space has unparalleled views across the River Thames, all the way from Canary Wharf over to the City.
With floor to ceiling bay windows - complete with ornate regency style balconies – and double heighted ceilings, The Nelson Room is in no shortage of natural light. Ornate cornicing decorates the space, whilst the walls are lined with 19th century artwork depicting Greenwich, and indeed the Tavern itself, across the last 300 years. In the Nelson Room, the sheer history of the venue is palpable and an immediate talking point for anyone entering the space.
The Nelson Room can hold up to 350 persons standing, and 250 persons for a seated event. Smaller events can be accommodated by sectioning off the Admiral room if desired. With hire of the Nelson Room we would recommend hiring the adjacent Hawke & Howe bar, to provide immediate bar access to your guests and allow you to have exclusive use of the first floor of the venue.
