Host rules

Welcome! Please review and follow these house rules to ensure a smooth and successful shoot:

1.Arrival Preparation: Notify us via WhatsApp 10 minutes before arrival so we can prepare and welcome you.
2.No Congregation: Avoid gathering on the terrace. Use the side of the square to respect our neighbours’ privacy.
3.Doorbell Use: Please avoid ringing the bell. A gentle knock will suffice, and we will likely meet you at the door.
4.Occupancy Limit : The maximum occupancy limit, outlined in the agreement or platform terms, must be strictly adhered to and not exceeded. Additional guests, interviewees, or crew members attending the shoot must be disclosed in advance.
5.Property Care: Our 300-year-old home has heritage features. Handle everything with care. Avoid dragging suitcases on tiles or wooden floors. Toilets are delicate; flush gently without forcing the handle. All heavy equipment must be stored in the orangery
6.No Exterior Filming: Exterior filming or photography requires prior approval.
7.Door Management: Limit in-and-out access during the shoot. Notify us via WhatsApp if re-entry is needed; we manage the door to minimize disturbances.
8.Shoe Policy: Remove shoes indoors. If necessary for the shoot, please use shoe covers.
9.Smoking Policy: Smoking is not allowed indoors or near the front door. Please use the garden.
10.Fire Safety: Do not use candles, fires, or fireplaces without approval.
11.Window Safety: Open only the upper half of sash windows if needed to avoid accidents. 🪟
12.Pets: We have a cat and small dog. Although they will stay with us, please keep the front door and windows closed to avoid any incidents.
13.Noise Control: Keep noise low; no loud music or disruptive activities.
14.Time Management: Prep and wrap-up time are included in your booking. For extensions, contact us via WhatsApp.
15.Restoration: Leave the property as you found it: clean, tidy, furniture in place, lights and radiators off, and bin bags in the garden.

This handsome Grade II-listed, late-Georgian house lies on the coveted raised terrace of Wilmington Square in Clerkenwell. Wilmington Square is one of the earliest developments in the area and is regarded as one of its most important and historic squares.

This four-bedroom house has been renovated but also beautifully preserved; almost all original chimney pieces are still in place, as are windows, shutters and panelled casements, plus cupboards, cornicing and pitch pine floorboards. Incredibly peaceful for such a central location, the house has no road to the immediate fore — and therefore no traffic — and looks directly out to the verdant square.

Laid out over four levels, the south-facing house extends to over 2,350 sq. ft internally. There is a courtyard garden on two-levels (lower ground and ground floor).

The house is positioned in the left-centre of the terrace and built from yellow stock brick laid in Flemish bond, with banded stucco on the ground floor and stucco dressings. There are two cast-iron Juliet balconies on the first floor and original iron spear railings with urn finials at street level. At the entrance is a beautiful neo-classical doorcase with an arched fanlight, which is supported by a slim architrave and recessed fluted half-columns.

The property is located within the London Borough of Islington New River Conservation Area. The terrace dates from approximately 1830 and was listed (grade II) in 1972.
Clerkenwell, in the south-west of the borough of Islington, has a long history and retains much of its medieval street pattern and function. The area originally developed as an adjunct to the Roman City, hosting a range of activities that were not permitted within the city walls including livestock markets, metalworks, breweries and monasteries. In the 17th century Clerkenwell became famous as a resort where Londoners came to enjoy its spas, tea gardens and theatres.
