The mezzanine overlooks the whole of the bar - so it has one of the best views in the place. This is great for more casual gatherings such as drinks or buffets.

The mezzanine the area up the stairs as you walk into the pub. It's its own private space, but without the closed doors and walls - so still gives you the full ambiance of the pub. It has direct access to the toilets.

About The Old Bank of England

One of the most stunning pub interiors in the city of London now given a new lease of life, paired with honest pub grub and fantastic, Hertfordshire brewed beers. Welcome to the Old Bank of England!

Our pub resides in the old Law Court’s branch of the previous Bank of England which operated from 1888 to 1975, although you may not be able to get a loan with us you are bound to receive attentive service, and a unique experience in the country’s capital.

If you are looking for a unique and picturesque location in the centre of London to host an event of any description, look no further than The Old Bank of England!

If you are looking for space for a larger group, get in touch today as we can cater for up to 450 throughout the entire pub. An experience like no other!

Our Routemaster bus is also available to hire for special occasions, a really unique location!

Located in Fleet Street, interestingly between the barber shop owned by Sweeney Todd and the pie shop owned by Mrs Lovett.
