About this space

Our private dining room is perfect for groups of up to 16 people looking for private dining in Brighton. Available seven days a week for lunch and dinner, the private room offers stunning views of the Brighton seafront.

Separated from the main dining room by thick curtains, guests have the option to leave these open to experience the atmosphere of the restaurant or close them for a more private experience.

Event offers and packages

The Salt Room’s menu centres around freshness and quality of our seafood and meat cooked over charcoal and served with sides and sauces. Our chefs are dedicated to sourcing the best produce possible as a result, the kitchen team are able to build menus to very exacting standards, offering a wide variety of classic cuts and more experimental dishes.

Seafood remains the star of the show at The Salt Room – a blazing-hot Josper grill sears off locally-sourced market fish including whole fish for sharing daily, all available with your favourite sauces and sides.

Not a seafood fan? No problem. Our wide range of dishes and passion for ingredients has led us to build a festive menu to cater for all dietary requirements. About The Salt Room

Boasting uninterrupted views of Brighton seafront and the iconic West Pier ruins, The Salt Room is a modern British seafood restaurant that celebrates cooking over coal.

We take pride in sourcing local ingredients — concentrating on sustainability — to produce a menu of mouth-watering dishes. Using the same techniques as our sister restaurants; The Coal Shed & Burnt Orange, we cook the freshest shellfish and meat over charcoal, ensuring a dining experience to remember.

The same seasonality and innovation that is applied to the menu finds its way into the cocktails, with a selection of drinks changing through the year and with a hint of earthy herbs and sea spices sprinkled throughout.
