Set a few minutes' walk from Syon Lane Station, and served by multiple bus routes (including the E8, H91, 235, 237 and 267), the B&I Meeting House is a Grade II listed Georgian-era building offering whole-building hires, as well as bookings for our main meeting room, our small meeting room and our garden room.
Hires are between £15 and £30/hr for rooms (and £50/hr for whole-site), offering privacy, quiet and plenty of natural light. Use of a fully-equipped kitchen (including cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, sink, etc) and access to our gardens is included in all hires. Ramp access is available to both buildings, and there is an accessible toilet onsite including changing facilities. WiFi is available throughout the site.
Please note that as a Quaker Meeting House, we ask attendees to avoid bringing alcohol onto the premises where possible - if this might present an issue, we're happy to discuss. We are not licensed to hold marriage ceremonies (apart from Quaker ones), but would be happy to welcome celebrations.
The local Quaker community meets for Meeting for Worship 10.30-11.30 on Sundays - everyone is welcome, including children. Quaker worship is conducted in a shared silence and stillness, which may be broken if any member of the Meeting feels moved to speak. Following meeting, we share tea and biscuits, and occasionally hold community events like shared lunches, documentary screenings, discussions and the like.
