About this space

Welcome to our versatile theatre space with a seating capacity of 120! Designed to adapt to various performance styles, our fully flexible theatre offers an immersive experience for both performers and audience members. Our typical wide thrust layout ensures an intimate connection between the stage and the seating area, allowing for an engaging theatrical experience. However, we also can transform the space into an in-the-round configuration or other unique setups, providing endless possibilities for creative expression. Please keep in mind that different layouts may require additional technical support, which may incur extra costs.

In addition to our exceptional performance space, we also provide convenient amenities for performers. Located behind the theatre, you'll find two well-equipped dressing rooms, allowing artists to prepare and relax before taking the stage. Adjacent to the dressing rooms, there is a bathroom featuring two toilets and a shower, ensuring comfort and convenience for all.

Founded in 1957 by George Eugeniou, Theatro Technis has been an independent company and venue for over six decades. Now, with Kerry Kyriacos Michael MBE joining as its Creative Director, a new era is beginning. Kerry, known for his passion for culturally diverse and disruptive work and leadership of Theatre Royal Stratford East, aims to bring fresh perspectives to the organisation.

Nestled between King's Cross and Camden, Theatro Technis has a longstanding history of celebrating local and international artists. With new resident companies like Tamasha Theatre Company, Gate Theatre, and MENA Arts UK, the venue has recently expanded its programme. Hosting popular events such as Camden Fringe Festival and the Shubbak Festival, along with showcasing Cypriot works and resident company productions, Theatro Technis continues to be a vibrant hub for innovative theatre and performance.

Under Kerry's leadership, Theatro Technis is set to captivate audiences for more years to come with a commitment to independent, diverse works. Embracing its past and facing the future, Theatro Technis remains at the forefront of the evolving theatre landscape.
