The private dining room at Hawksmoor Spitalfields is named in honour of local legend Vesta Tilley, a trailblazing gender-bending music hall star who played to packed houses across the road at the once-was Royal Cambridge.
A mere 2 minutes’ walk from Shoreditch High Street and 10 minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street, Old Street and Aldgate stations, the Vesta Tilley Room is ideal for private hire for groups from 30 to up to 55. The space is perfect for team lunches, private dinners, engagments and other celebrations.
Underneath the restaurant, we also have a private bar available for hire. These to areas can be booked together for pre or post dinner to create a memorable experience.

About Hawksmoor Spitalfields
Hawksmoor was inspired by childhood memories of how good steak could taste. Founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott (friends since they were 11) opened the first Hawksmoor restaurant on Commercial Street in 2006; more restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and
New York followed.
Our menus revolve around using the best ingredients we can find and cooking them as simply as possible – whether it be beef from grass-fed native breed cattle, sustainable seafood from around the local coast, seasonal fruits and vegetables or great British cheeses, combined with great wines and interesting cocktails all served by people who love what they do.
