About this space
Our secondary hall is a great space for small meetings or small classes of up to 40 people. It features a 60" TV, with HDMI connections for presentations and 34 chairs. The space is private.
Current and previous usage have been church groups, organisational meetings, seminars, classes, dance classes and extending the use of the Main Hall for capacity of 150 people. This space is not parties on their own.
This space does not give access to the kitchen.
You are able to rent an urn for £10.00.

Deposit
A £250.00 deposit for the Main Hall (£100.00 for Secondary Hall) must be made to secure any booking and must be paid before the booking can take place, this is fully refundable if you have adhered to our booking terms and conditions and there were no additional cleaning charges required, this will be returned within three days of your booking. The terms & conditions will be sent to you in your enquiry.
Set Up and Tidy Up Times
You have one hour free to set up before your booking time and thirty minutes free to clean up at the end. If you run over your end time you could be charged extra at the rate you hired the space.
Car Parking
We have no car park, but there is free on street parking available after 18:30 on weekdays & all day on weekends.
What Can You Bring?
You are allowed to bring soft drinks, catering & decorations. You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol to the venue, doing so can have your event stopped. Any drugs brought onto or consumed on site will result in the event being stopped & police being informed, we have zero-tolerance.
Behaviour of Guests
The behaviour of your guests is your responsibility. Any unsociable behaviour or violence will result in your event being stopped and police being called. If any damage is found to Association property then this can affect your deposit. Birthday parties for 13-24 year olds will require security to keep order, prevent illegal items & outside alcohol.
Cleaning
The spaces must be left clean as found. Our non-cleaning fee is £120.00. This will be charged to your deposit if cleaning is not satisfactory.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in the courtyard where ashtrays are provided.
Age Verification & Building Sign In
If accompanied by a responsible adult; under 18's are allowed. Where there are bar parties, your guests over 18 must bring ID, this will be scanned into our security scanner to sign guests into the building. We operate a GDPR policy.

About Magdalen Hall
Magdalen Hall Association C.I.C is a Tenants and Residents Association run by a board of volunteers from the estates of St. Saviours, Purbrook & Aylwin (over 740 homes). We are formally recognised by Southwark Council. We are governed by our Articles of Association and elections are held yearly at our Annual General Meeting on the last Thursday of July.
We manage and run the beautiful Magdalen Hall, located a stone throw away from Tower Bridge, with London Bridge, a major transportation hub nearby. It has a spacious hall for rent with a stage for parties, functions, classes and theatre productions; supplemented by two bars at modest prices and discounts for members (tenants and residents of the estates). All are welcome to join us at this wonderful venue. We take pride in our community and promote diversity, tolerance and equality.
