Host rules
- Organisers of events are required to visit the church for themselves prior to booking.
- No liquids, powders, smoke, haze or any other substances are to be used in the course of any event.
- Great care should be taken when hiring the Vestry House so as to not damage the historic building. Please report any damage that does occur to the Venue Manager or Church Administrator as soon as possible.
- Furniture can be moved with permission and must be reinstated to its original position by the hirer.
- The hirer is responsible for removing all event related waste and rubbish from the premises post event.
- No sellotape/blu tack/pins can be used in the church or Vestry House to stick posters up. All signage etc. displayed should be freestanding.
- An event schedule should be provided to the Church Administrator a minimum of 1 week before your event with contact details and timings for your event as well as confirmation of suppliers and their contact details. The hirer and suppliers are responsible for providing public liability insurance of £10 million as well as other health and safety documentation including risk assessments and method statements.
- Details of equipment being brought in should be provided to the Church Administrator a minimum of 1 week before your event.
- Following the event, the hirer and their suppliers are responsible for ensuring the Vestry House & Church are left in the same condition it was found in. The hirer and suppliers should carry out a walkthrough with the Venue Manager at the end of the evening.
- Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the Church or Vestry House.
- Candles are permitted but must be in a candle holder, lantern or equivalent.
