Host rules

Commercial event guests are entitled to complimentary car parking (exclusions apply), registration details must be provided in advance. We are not able to reserve car parking spaces.

All hired areas will be cleaned by the Museum unless requested otherwise. Exhibition stands and Constructions, however, are the responsibility of the Hirer. If the Hirer requires the Museum to arrange for a cleaner to be in attendance during the event, an additional charge will be made for this.

The Museum must be advised in advance of the nature, intended time and destination of all deliveries. For exhibitions and large-scale events, Hirers are responsible for ensuring that a proper arrival and departure schedule is drawn up for exhibitors and/or suppliers using appropriate loading areas. The Museum is unable to accept responsibility for any delay to exhibitors or suppliers that may occur if a detailed rota of arrival and departure times is not provided.

All deliveries / pick ups must be agreed with the Museum Events Team in advance and have the name of the Museum contact on them. Deliveries without a Museum contact name on them will not be accepted.
Hirers are reminded that the collections on display in the aircraft halls are real aircraft, some of which are the only surviving examples. Any guests seen climbing over barriers or onto aircraft without permission, or whose behaviour is deemed dangerous, unsafe or detrimental to the Museum’s collections, will be asked to leave immediately

Please note that it is also not possible to have haze or smoke effects anywhere in the building as this can damage the aircraft. The use and display of helium balloons and confetti / party poppers is strictly prohibited. It is however possible to bring non-helium balloons, these must be tied or displayed on sticks.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements must be provided by the Hirer in advance to cover the activities taking place.
