Upstairs at Gladwell’s is a brand new multi-purpose space available for private hire and events. This bright 600 sq ft area on the first floor is perfect for book launches, supper clubs, photography, filming, and more.

We offer private hire options from 8am - 10:30pm.
Our most popular bookable time slots are mid-week evenings which are the most affordable.
Please note we are only able to offer private hire on Saturdays before 4pm in exceptional circumstances.

Catering, coffee, and refreshments can be arranged in advance from our café and deli.

We are fully licensed have a range of beers, wine and cocktails which can be purchased in advance of your event.
Any external alcohol is subject to approval before the event.

The space is equipped with power, WiFi, and a full sound system with a mic input. Please note that you will need to provide any screens, projectors, or other audio-visual equipment.

Access to our kitchen can be arranged for preparing or finishing dishes, though shallow or deep frying is not allowed.
The kitchen has 13 amp sockets (no three-phase equipment), along with 2 rational ovens and 2 induction hobs for warming food (extraction is not included).

Situated on the first floor of our luxury deli and grocery store in a stunning Grade II listed art nouveau building in the heart of Camberwell, this space is perfect for celebrations, Christmas parties, book launches, supper clubs, photography, filming, and much more.

Gladwell’s is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Denmark Hill Station and 20 minutes from Oval Tube Station, with excellent bus routes nearby. Paid parking is also available in the local area.
